Digital Health in the Rural American West: Improving Population Health – From Anywhere, at Anytime

Join us for an interdisciplinary workshop exploring the potential and challenges of deploying digital health technologies more widely in the Rural American West. This often-overlooked region is characterized by vast distances, scarcity of care, and even fewer specialist providers. Co-hosted by Stanford Medicine and the Bill Lane Center for the American West, this one-day event seeks to examine how digital health technologies and policy can help address disparities in access, and treat specific health care crises such as opioid addiction, obesity, and mental health.

Is our current national and state health policy keeping pace with advances in digital health? Key challenges (access, privacy, cost, financial) and opportunities to align health policy with rapidly changing technology and increasing demands by consumers to access health care digitally.
3:00–3:15 pm Wrap-Up
  • Bruce E. Cain, PhD and Dean Lloyd Minor, MD
